SHOOTING MATCH. E. FOSTER WINS CUP AGAIN. The inanimate pigeon-shoot-ing matches held under the auspices of the Ohinewai Rod and Gun Club took place lately, when there were shot off the Cup Match in which all the competitors started from the 12 yards mark, and a handicap sweepstake of five birds. The results were as follows : CUP MATCHES.
In the shoot off E. Foster, who thus won the cup for the second time, scored five kills in succession, E. Keieher, four; S. Foster, three; and J. Neil,nil. SWEEPSTAKE OF FIVE BIRDS. T. Neil (14 yds.) 5 birds. itW-Keleher ... 4 „ C. Gail 3 „ L. Freeman ... 1 „ T. Neil thus annexed the prize with a possible, even though he was the scratch man. The Ohinewai ladies are forming a tennis club, and hope to be ready in a short time to do battle with the Huntly Club, and others in the district.
