Wedding Bells.

HERDSON—SKELLERN. A pretty wedding took place at St. Paul’s Church, Huntly, on Wednesday, when Mr Herbert Montague Herdson, of Te Akau, was married to Cora, youngest daughter? of Mr R. Skellern, Huntly South, the Rev. Mr McWilliam being the officiating clergyman. The bride, who was given away by her father, was messed in ivory white chiffon taffetta trimmed with shadow lace ana pearls, and wore a wreath of orange blossoms. The bridesmaids were Miss Roma McArthur (niece of the bridegroom) and Miss Ruth Skellern (niece of the who prettily silk eolienne trimmings, and of flowers. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a dainty pearl and amethyst pendant and chain, and to the bridesmaids, gold bar brooches with names engraved. The bride’s present to the bridesgroom was a gold pendant handsomely engraved. After the ceremony breakfast was served to a large gathering of relatives and friends in a large marquee pitched in the picturesque grounds at the residence of the bride’s parents. The usual toasts were enthusiastically honoured. The presents were displayed in the drawing room, and among the many useful and a beautiful articles were the following : Silver mounted vases, silver mounted butter dish, biscuit barrels, silver mounted cruet,pair of silver mounted salt cellars, silver cake knife, set of silver teaspoons. silver mounted jam jar, silver backed hand mirror and comb, tea service, clock, cake dishes, cheque, easy chair, etc., etc. The happy pair left by the 8.45 train en route for Rotorua where the honeymoon will be spent.
