NEWBURY-SPADA CONCERT COMPANY. DIRECTION OF COADY AND CALDER. Next Wednesday evening at the Miners’ Hall the public of Huntly and district will be given an opportunity of hearing the Exhibition Concert Company which comprises a coterie of irtists who are now touring New Zealand with immense success. Madame Newbury Spada, the well-known American operatic soprana who leads the artists, comes with thehighestencomiums having sung for many of the largest musical and choral societies in Great Britain; also the Chrystal Palace (London) classical concerts under the baton of Mr August Mann. Mr Martin Duff, the tenor of the company, a pupil of the great tenor, Mr Philip Newbury, is the possessor of a beautiful rich round tenor voice. Miss Kathleen Major, the favourite'entertainer and humorist, is a charming young actress, and will render songs, monologues, etc. Mr Gilbert Manttan. who presents the company, is a bass baritone, and has a fine robust voice which he uses to great advantage. He will be heard in a number of well known songs M. Henri Etiene, solo pianist and accompanist, is an artist of repute and lias done good work in the musical profession in the Old Country. This fine combination of musical talent of proved merit should draw a very large house, especially so as these professional musical treats do not visit us too frequently.
