Huntly Cycling Club,
FIRST GENERAL MEETING. A meeting of those interested in the formation of a Cycling Club in the town took place in Mr Brook’s saloon on Monday evening, Mr J. Brooks presid ug over a good attendance. It was unanimously decided to form a cycling ch b, to be called the Huntly Cycling- Club, officebearers being elected as follow: President, Mr J.P. Bailey; VicePresident, Mr C. Hammond; Treasurer, Mr W. H. Evans ; Secretary, Mr A. C Rollo ; Committee, Messrs S. Dixon, F. Cox, C. Hammond, W. H. Evans, A. Rollo, R. Hall, E. Keleher, J. Brooks. J. Carlyon, E. Marston, and F. E. Haidwick. Mr J. Brooks was appointed chairman, and the annual subscription was fixed at 2s fid. The meeting decided to hold the first parade on Sunday, the parade starting from the post office for Taupiri at 2 p.m. The committee was empowered to draw up rules in accordance with those of the Auckland Association Cycling Club.
