Huntly Scots Society.

At a special meeting of the Scots Society held on Monday night. Dr R. C. Maediarmid presiding, a letter from the Sports ‘Committee was read, thanking' the society very heartily for the donation of six guineas which the members desired to be awarded as prizes for the bagpipes competition, and asking that the Society re-coilsider that decision and award the same as prizes for Highland dancing. After some discussion Mr W. Wood’s motion to the ' effect that the amount decided upon be given unconditionally as prizes for Highland dancing was carried.
