ULM HOPEFUL
OF LEAVING TO-MORROW.
(Australian Press Association). (Received this day at 10.42 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 28. Ulm has every hope of leaving at 2 a.m. on Wednesday (4 a.m. N-Z. time) weather permitting. Kb is flying to Richmond to-day, •preparatory thereto. I NO TEST FOR ULM’S PLANE.

No test flights for Ulm’s plane have yet been made, but probably it will be given a short spin this morning, alter which it will fly to Richmond for the hop off to-morrow, or Thursday morning, when ifc is anticipated the weather will be good.
KINGSFORD SMITH’S VENTURE,
TASMAIN FLIGHT IN JANUARY
AUCKLAND, November 28
Mr Wilfred Kingsford Smith who arrived by the Monowai, said that Sir Charles , would definitely make the Tasmajti' flight in the first half oi January. Lady Smith was unnxexy to come. Smithy would return tp Sydney in March, and would probably leave for England in July to prepare for the centenary race to Melbourne.
He believed that the winner of the race would have to cover over 4000 miles daily, and 'complete th e journey in 3} days. Tie proposed to carry two co-pilots. It would be his last long flight. Mr Wilfred Kingsford Smith sEY 5 his brother also had in mind the establishment of an air service ‘in t-he Dominion without Government subsidy.
FRENCH AIR MINISTRY’S ORDER
(Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, November 27
Tlie “Times’ ” P'aris correspondent says the Air Ministry has ordered a number of Webault Penholt single-en-gined mailplanes, capable of 251 miles an hour, with an 11001 b load, and with a range of 600 miles.
