WESTLAND RACING CLUB.
MEETING ON DECEMBER 26 & 27.
The Westland Racing Club will open tho Christinas circuit on the West Coast, with a programme of fourteen events for the two days’ racing—December 26 and 27. The stakes total £IO7O, and include special hack events, with a cup for the chief hack mile race. The Westland Handicap is endowed as usual, also with a handsome trophy. Nominations are due on Tuesday, December 5 at Hokitika.
The Hokitika course has had the usual care and attention over the year, and will be found in the usual sound condition. Hie course ;s well appointed alike for horse and patron, with ample accommodation for all weathers. There will h e a daily train service east and west over the Christmas and New Year holidays, while on tile Coast circuit there will be complete connection's"'*' nith all parts. With the other race fix--tme,s to be billed on the Coast over the holiday period, the sporting public will be well catered for, and many visitors ' will no doubt patronise the* district meeting. ■
