THE NEAR EAST
ANTI-WAR CONGRESS MISSION
(United Freet Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.)
LONDON, November 22
Lord Marley has returned from a tour of China, Manchuria and Russia, as Chairman of the Anti-War Congress.
He says that a clear real danger of war in the Far East is based on Japan’s serious economic position. Japan may find in war, a means of escaping from its economic difficulties. There
is widespread evidence of the belief in the Far East that Japan will undertake war against the Soviet at an early date using Manchukuo as a base for attack. If she did decide on war, he thought it extremely unlikely , that the other nations would be able to withhold the struggle.
