A policeman saw a Pathan tribesman approach the North-West Frontier Province leading six donkeys heavily laden. He was about to cross the bridge over the Indus. He challenged the Pathan,; who replied that he was carrying sugar. A search revealed ten Jive bombs, three bags of gunpowder a thousand cartridges, seventeen rifles, four sllotguhs, and many guns, Russian-made,; similar to those recently smuggled oWr the border and gold at exhorbitaiit prices to terrorist organisations in Bengal and elsewhere. The Pathan was arrested.
