A large number of detectives and uniformed police are still scouring the district in the vicinity of the Riccartcn Racecourse Hotel for any clue that may lead to the discovery of the murderer of Donald Fraser, but ,«o far they have been Avitliout success.
Various theories are being investigated, particular attention being paid to any of deceased’s actions .that may have provocated in someone a spirit ot revenge.

The crime presents many puzzling, features, not the least of Avhieh is the inability of Fraser’g friends to thrOAv irfciy light on a possible .motive at present. In fact, it is one of the most 'baffling mysteries in the history of NeAv Zealand crime.
