U.S.A. SCHEME FOR THE ATLANTIC. . SERIES OF FIVE PROJECTED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) WASHINGTON, November 16. ; A series of five floating landing fields across the North Atlantic Ocean were projected by the United States Government to-day, with an initial appropriation .of 1,500,090 dollars for experimental purposes. One float, a quarter of the- specified size, will he constructed. If at proves feasible, the others will he built at the full size, at ft. Cost of thirty million dollars. Then a regular America-Europe autoplane service will be (inaugurated; The specifications provide for plfttform 1200 ft long and from loOft to 000 ft wide.
