BREACHES OF LICENSING ACT. (Pei Press Association, Copyright). ASHBURTON, October 27. W. J. O’Connor was fined £4O and costs on a charge of selling liquor without a license. Defendant was agent for an hotel in Christchurch, and sold a man two bottles of beer, for neither of which he had an order, defendant saying he had one, but he omitted to enter it. . James O’Reilly, licensee of the South Rakaia Hotel was fined two amounts or £4 each , for selling after hours. Joseph O’Reilly, barman, lor supplying on one occasion when the licensee was absent, was fined £4. TJfe men found on the premises were fined 40s.
