McCallum) called for. a. decision on the clause empowering women to officiate as ministers at marriages. The clause was upheld by ten votes to three. On the third' reading, Mr McCallum said he vvas opposed to the raising of the marriage age a s it would increase the number of illegitimates. The Bill was passed unamended.
