The New South Wales State basic wage for males was to-day , reduced by 2s weekly, and for females by Is weekly, to £3 6s 6d and £1 16s respectively. This is in accordance with a lower cost of living. The Union. officials are incensed at the reduction. They declare that they expected the Industrial Commission to grant a slight 'increase.
