CAUSES PUBLIC INDIGNATION

There was a surprise move in the Federal House of Representatives - when by 44 votes to 16, the members had a provision included in the Financial Relief Rill whereby there is to be an increase in the members’ .saleries by £75 per year to £825. The Labourites voted solidly with the Government Party in favour of the resolut'on. The extra cost annually will be nearly £IO,OOO, which is causing coiioiCTe table public indignation.
