P. Stuart, renewal of timber area.—Granted. Westland A. and P. Association.— The annual meeting *of the Association was held at- the County Chambers, the president (Mr J. S: Lang), presiding; The following officers were elected 1 :—President; Mr R. Houliston; vice-president, Mr H. Norman; treasurer. Mr J. J. Mclntosh; committee, Messrs T. O’Neill, H. Jones, O. R. Glass, J. 11. Fleming, R. Houliston, junr., R. Mackley, J. S. Lang and the Rev. J. G. Ellis.

Motor-car Age.—The motor-car ago has arrived. Mr J. C. Mqlfroy has just imported a. very handy and smooth running car, which will prove the forerunner of similar vehicles. Now that these speedy cars have put in an svppearagce, it is more essential than ever that the rule of the road should he observed.
