WASHINGTON, October 16
A code for fair competition embracing national state and savings banks, trust comphnies, and private banks accept'ng deposits, came into effect, today. Rigid rules for the regulation of trust business are embodied in the code, which will, probably form the basis for similar, and perhaps nn rp specific rules, to he included in the investment code. The latter i.s now in process of being drafted. It -seeks to correct the investment and banking practices condemned bv the Senate Banking Committee, a.s the result of investigations.
