WEDDING BELLS

A wedding of interest to a wide circle of friends wag celebrated at the Presbyterian CliiK'ch, Llarihari, on Wednesday, October lllh, when May Marianne, third daughter of Mr a>id Mrs W. lier-ry, of Hai'iliarj, was manied to Thomas Arthu'i', son of Mr arid M<rs J. Whall, of Woolstoii, Christchurch. The Rev. L. S. Dewar, officiated and Mrs W. Gunn was at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on her ifathor's arm, ware a frock of ivory coquette made on slim fitting lines and trimmed wtih met..'lassie a<<u finished -with a dianre-nte buckle. The beautiful long embroidered veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms and a sheaf of 1.1 lies completed the toilet. The chief bridesmaid, Miss Sylvia /Berry, 'ware a frock of eau, de-nil georgette with tight firting bodice and with epaulette- frilled shoulders and frilled skirt. Miss Marie Berry, the second bridesmaid, wore a simjla r frock in shrimp pink. Both bridesmaids wort! coronets of fit -wars and silver leaves, and carried bouquets to tone with their frocks and wore a dainty pearj necklace and -pendant, the gift of the

bridegroom. -A dainty flower girl, little Betty Adamson j(iniece of the bride) -wore a Kate Gi'venaway frock of blue floral organdi and a coronet of flowers. Th© bridegroom was attended by M l ' H. Wallace as best man, and Mr Gordon Berry as g-roomsm.au.

Mr Berry (mother of the bride) wore a frock of light navy blue floral eelanese ©report and hat of blue ra'cello straw and carried a- bouquet of iceJa-nd poppies and maiden hair fern.

After the ceremony a number of guests were entertained at the home of the bride, where the usual toasts wore honoured- The bride’s travelling dress was nigger brown wool mateiaine trimmed with crinkle crepe and ©oric-Ie with epaulettes and hat of racello straw to tone.
