iShooting at the National Rifle Meeting continued to-day in hot weather. Many possibles were recorded. In the Mutton match (ten shots at

300 yards) A. Sharpe (South Sydney) was the best of nine possibles. The New Zealanders, Lucena (37th) and Carter (39th) seored 49, each winding £l4.

In the Jamieson match (ten hsots at 800yds) R. G. Übank (Queensland) and E. IH. ‘Wii shire (Mo-sman) vvero the best of eight possibles, and must «)uk»c iilf for first'-place.

In the Jamieson match (ten shots three hund'-red yards, was won by Morris, of Goulbut'U, the best of nine possibles. New Zealanders were: J•

C. Carter, sixty-sixth, H. L. Luceiia 112th. 48. £1 each.

In the Lemaitre Match, ten shots, six hundred yards, Phillips '(Melbourne) was the best of eight possibles. Lucent! was sixtv-seventh with 48, £l. Danger 'Match, Gm shots at Seven hundred yards: Painter of Goulbu’rn was best of five possibles. Paine Aggregate: The best of these three matches; Treadwell of Melbourne, 147, eight others 146. ■ Tb weather was boisterous at times.

In the National Rifle Meeting in the Jamieson Mutch. H. Watts (South Australia) was first.

The Johnnie .Walker,match, ten shots at 900 yards, J. Felt-ham (Ma'rukin) was best of five possibles. Carter, 49, was eleventh and won £l. The Dobbs’ -aggregate comprising scores in the Mototton, Jamieson and Johnnie Walker, matches, was woln by P. Davey (Caulfield) 148; F. Feltha-m 147. Carter was eleventh, 145, and receives £l.

The Longfield aggregate comprising six matches on Monday and Tuesday was won by Treadwell with 291: Four -others were 290. -Cak-tej- with 254 was thirty-third acd won £2.
