CYCLIST DIES OF INJURIES,

AUCKLAND, October 9,

Norman McDonald, married, employed at the Southdown freezing works, was struck by a motor-car while cycling borne at eleven o’clock last night. Visibility was poor owing to the rain. The car was driven by Mr K. Todd, of Otalmlni. McDonald was thrown on his head and died within ten minutes.

INJURED MAN DIES. ASHBURTON, October 6

John McPherson aged 52, with no known relatives, farm labourer, who fell from the running board of a car at Met liven, last Saturday, died in the Ashburton hospital this morning, without regaining consciousness.

McPherson was being given a lift from the racecourse to the township, when lie fell, fracturing his skull.
