The Japanese War Unite Inis issued a statement confirming the cable sent on September 22nd, that Japan dues not intend to recreate four Army Divisions, which report was a groundless fabrication; but tlic War Office points out that the Soviet Army is at present stronger than the Army under the Tzarist regime. The Soviet’s warlike preparations for the Far East are formidable. There are ten divisions of Soviet troops there, with three hundred tanks, and one hundred aeroplanes and bombers, which forces are capable of making an immediate attack on Manclaikuo and Japan. This is causing uneasiness, and an improvement in the national defences is urgent.
