If the Government won’t wake lip and do the right thing about car conversion's, motorists will have to take the law into their own hands, even if imprisoned for it, said ,Mr b. V\ • Johnston, president of the South Island Motor Union, at the annual meeting of Otago 'Motor Club. Personally he was prepared to do this and inflict his o\yn : 'punishment, if the need arose. He was- now convinced that conversion of ‘car stealing should be an indictable offence. ) ■
