MINING
The Okarito dredge return last week was 630 z 19Jwts for 119 hours. M.-YTAKI RETURN. Mataki Gold Dredging, Ltd. (Muirh : - son), reports that 3760 yards were treated fur a week in 113 hours’ dredging time. The gold won was 220 z. It was found ,necessary to turn the dredge during the week and work backward towards the starting point to g m .sufficient Abating depth to drop from the terrace to the flat below. This operation, which involved considerable dead work on tailings, has precluded a big return. ,
