An application- bv Norman Heath, company manager. of Auckland, for Waihi central special quartz claim of 100 acre s was before the Warden’s Count this - morning. Objection was lodged by the Waihi Gold Mining Coy. on. the ground that objector had made ■arrangements with the Government for a geophysical survey -of the area ap* plied for, with a view to acquiring same ns a llpecial ,quartz claim. The objecting company alleged th\t the fact that such a geophysical survey was about to take place- had been published before the application w©s lodged, also, that to the interests' of the mining industry acid district;' the application /should, not be granted. The case was ■adjourned. ■ 1
