MELBOURNE, August 24
The cargo steamer Piako, rrom Nevv Zealand, was searched on her arrival here, and £298 worth of English silver was discovered. The money wag secreted in the vessel’s forepeak. The customs officials seized the money, but, failing any proof of smuggling, it may revert to the owners of the vessel.
