As the total from the epidemic of sleeping sickness reached twenty-two in St. Louis and environs, a puzzling disease was reported in the bordering State of Illinois. Previously, cases in Oklahoma and Kansas, as well as other Missouri towns, had been diagonised as' Encephalitis, a.s the disease is known in medical circles.
