In disappointing professional boxing contest last night, Billy Sullivan (Hastings) received the decision over Ray Niool, New Zealand champion, when the latter was unable to continue through a hand injury after the ninth round.
Nicol, up to this stage, had quite out-fought his opponent, who was down for the count of nine in the seventh round.
