Bobby Pearce to-day signed a contract to meet Ted Phelps, the world professional sculling champion, jin a three-mile match race here on jSeptember Ist, the winner to receive 5000 dollars. Pearce is guaranteed 2,500 dollars regardless of the result of the race, which will be held at Lake Ontario, on the Canadian national exhibition regatta course,
