ARAHURA STOCK SALE. The fixture for yesterday at above yards attracted the usual Coast buyers who had the choice of 44 head of cattle and 150 sheep. Competition wag keen at improved acutes and beef made at least 15s per head advance on last sale. Ox beef made from 22s 6d to 25s per hundred. The entry of sheep from Condon and Sons, of ’Mahitahi, was a particularly good one end all pens were keenly sought. Wetherg made to 20s 3d and ewes to 16s.
W. Jeffries and Co. sold as follows: For J. Condon and San s 29 wethers at 20s 3d, 34 at 19s 9d, 31 ewes at 16s, 63 at 15s. For H. Busch 4 ewe 6 at 15s. For R. Houljston 1 bullock at i£6 7s 6d, 2at £6. 2 light steer s at £4 10s. For W. Jamieson 2 bullocks at £7 J>os, 1 at £7 ss, 2 at £7 2s 6d, (2 at £6 ss, 2 at £5 15e, 2 at £5 10s, 2 at £5 ss.
The same firm report the following sales at their Taurafiga Biy fixture last Thursday, 9 cow s from £4 15s to £5 2 S 6d, 11 steers to £5 ss, 3 heifers at i£6 10>3, 3 bullocks at £6 15s, 6 bullocks at £B.
