Winooka’s training continues satisfactorily. He is trotting and galloping daily. He will make, a . public trial on, Saturday.
Ho .. ever, some question concerning the advisability of the .. Winooka— Frisky Matron race hap .. .been raised by Winooka’s Michael Pol* son, who says that he fears .that , the horse will not be at its-..; best.... He would like an extra two ; weeks of preparation to- feel safer. He points out that a defeat on Winooka’s first appearance would be disastrous to the American invasion.
Winooka’s backers have been offered a match race on the Graham track ettrly in August, but they 1 five ,ndi;at* ed that the offer would be refused because of the slior.t circumference of that track.
