WEDDING BELLS

JOHANSON—MOREL A wedding cf interest to West Coasters was celebrated recently at the Roman Catholic Church, Sumner, the contracting partie s being Annie Thelma, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs L. H. Morel) Mt, Pleasant) Christchurch- and Francis Victor Johansoh of Ktinmra, West Coast. The Rev. Father R. Lordan officiated. The "wedding march” was played by Mrs Leo, of Reddiifs. The . bride who was escorted by her father, wore an attractive model frock of ivory georgette over satin, the inserted bodice of angel-Jace being daintily outlined with tiny pearls, while the sleeves of georgette were puffed to the elbow and then tight-fitting. Her veil kindly lent by her cousin, (Mrs N. Mouat) fell in soft folds to form a tram which was artistically arranged off the forehead, forming a cap of pearls and orange blossom. She carried an armlet of bronze chrysanthemums, and maiden hair fern. The tw 0 bridesmaids were Misses Madge and Jeanne Morel, sisters of the bride, who wore dainty floral frocks of lime green and power blue georgette respectively, and wide-brimmed felt hats to tone. They each carried attractive bouquets and wore quaint lace mittens, which .also matched their i frocks. ■■ ......

The duties of best-man were carried cut by Mr Basil, Morel, and Mr lan Jamieson was groomsman. The reception was held at the residence of tlie bride’s parents, where Mrs Morel received the guests in a hand some gown of navy georgette figured in rose and grey with hat to match. Her bouquet was comprised of red roses, carnations and maiden hair fern. The bride later travelled in a smart frock of nigger-brown elephant-crepe and hat with eye-veil to match. She carried a brown velour coat with musquash collar.
