RAIN IN EASTERN AUSTRALIA. GREAT BENEFIT TO FARMERS. (Australian Press Association). SYDNEY, June 23: & Splendid rain has fallen, or is tailing, throughout New South Wales, particularly in the wheat belt and grazing areas.' Some of the southern and western areas have already had half an inch, which will allay anxiety and will assure winter feed for livestock. Parts of the south coast are being drenched, and the danger of floods is imminent.
Opportune rain is also reported from Queensland, affording immediate relief to the drought-stricken grazing area. Tlio southern and south-western sections of that State have greatly benefited.
