. TOURNEY AT GISBORNE. (Ver Press Association — Copyright., GISBORNE, June. 20. Tairawhiti Hockey Association’s annual tourney opened at Gisborne this ■morning, tairty-eigiit teams from Hawke’s Bay, Poverty Bay and Bay of Plenty competing. The rules provide that each team must piny each other team, and as there are 18 mens’ teams and 30 ladies’ teams, *a long tourney had. to be arranged and the length of games 'shortened to 20 minutes each.

Great enthusiasm is being shown, upwards of 010 players being- engaged and several hundred visitors having come from outside to witness . the games.
