MINISTER REFUTES STATEMENT. (Per Press Association—Copyright.) WELLINGTON, June 20. The Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. J. Young), emphatically denied any suggestion that Mr McArthur is representing the New Zealand Government in Sydney, or. that the New Zealand Government is making any inquiry into the question of running a State lottery ,
He also stated that- there was no intention on the part o. the Government to introduce .legislation for a lottery, during the coming session.
