SUPREME COURT APPLICATION. WINDING-UP OF COMPANY. {Per Press Association Copyright.) AUCKLAND, May 27. The affairs of an Auckland company with a registered capital of only £B, were investigated ■ in the Supreme l Court when George Walker, the professional wrestler, made an application for an order to wind up Controls, Limited, of Auckland, merchants. The company had - already gone into voluntary liquidation, but it was desired to have its affairs dealt with by the Official Assignee as the receiver appointed by the Court. The capital of the company is only £3, which is fully paid up.; There was . only one asset valued at £SO, Wages due by the company were in excess of that sum. . M. Justice Smith; How was the company financed with.that capital? It was said that one shareholder had advanced the company £llOO. He was not a creditor as, owing tp the nature of the claim he gould not claim. The company wns formed to sell courses in wrestling tuition. The sum of £I7OO had passed through its hands. The petitioning creditor, Walker, was to have been paid £ls for each course sold, and the company now owed him £2OO, of which he had not received a penny. The Judge made an order by consent, with costs to Walker. DOC HALL V. WALKER. WHANGAREI, May >2B. The Whangarci Wrestling Association has matched G. Walker ana Doc. Hall for June 22th. The Association has extended an invitation to the members .of, the Borough Council to attend as their guests. This invitation is the result of criticism of modern wrestling by a member of the Borough Council at its last meeting. -
