WESTLAND SUB-UNION MEETING. SEVEN-A-SIDE NOMINATIONS. The Westland Sub-Union met last evening there being present the-, president (.air J. 0. Staticrd), and Messrs J. L. Menzies, J. McO'leary, A. Thompson, M. Fane, F. McGregor, A. OUfctnish, D. It. Dowell, and 11. A. Beil. The application of D. J. Spence for reclassification was refused. It was decided that a- deputation wait on the stationmaster at Hokitika regarding- the alteration of the Boss train time table on June 8. The meeting decided that the Ross referee’s expenses on June 3 be defrayed by the Sub-Union. Nominations foq Afi© tVven-a-side tournament on Saturday (King's Birthday) were received as follow: —Seniors. —Excelsior, Ross and Kiwi (2), Pirates (1). Juniors:—Kokatalii (3), Excelsior, Kiwi, Ross, School, Pirates and Harihari (2) . Third grade: —-School (2), Ross, Excelsior, Kanieri and Aralmra (1). Shrimps:—School (3), Pirates, lloss and "Wanderers (1). Bantams : —School (4), Pirates, Ross Pirates and. Ross (1).

A nomination was received from the Hafihari School, the grade not being stated.

It was decided to call for nominations for an additional grade (7st. and under), and that the weights of the various teams ho advertised.

Tim weighty AV agon of the various grades nr‘o. as'follow:—Third grade, 17 and under or April 1; shrimps, Bst. and under; intermediate, 7st. and under ; bantams, ost. 71bs. and under. Regarding the tournament it was deckled that matters be finalised at a meeting to be held on Friday evening; that all trophies be in the hands of the secretary by Friday next; and that the Borough Council be approached regarding seats for the Square*. The application of the Kokatalii School for a football was received.
