MEXICO CITY, April 15

Mr Josephus Daniels, the new United States Ambassador to Mexico, arrived to-day. His reception at the railway station was without incident. He was preceded from the train by 12 detectives, while more than 200 po'icemen and detectives were on duty in the station. 'The police diseased that an attempt wag mad© on Friday to wreck Mr Daniels’ train. A section of rail was taken out near the town of Morales, 50 miles north of Monterey, but tho attempt was discovered in time.
