A SUGGESTION
RELIEF FOR COMING WINTER

CHRISTCHURCH, April 5.
A recommendation that the Minister of Epmloyment arrange the purchase and storage of wheat and meet for relief purposes in the coming winter, was made by a conference of local bodies. Mr M. E. Lyon s s aid the food was in the country, but the -difficulty was to get ft collected and distributed- Canterbury wa s teeming th:,,3 season with under grade wheat, which in other seasons would have been classed as milling quality. There was no need for anyone in New Zealand to go hungry ‘this winter. The Unemployment Board should -be urged to take time by the forelock -and buy ample stocky of flour and me it.
