LONDON, January 27

The first instance of the symbolical representation of Britannia being considered lewd has arisen at the Overseas Trade Department, which is exhibition poster invitations t 0 the British Industries' Fair, surmounted by a figure of Britannia. These have been withdrawn from Turkey, Egypt and Syria, owing to the geckoning attitude of Britannia offending certain Oriental religious -susceptibilities. The Department, however, is risking the effect on other moral by exhibiting 10,000 similar posters throughout Britain.
