THE UNEMPLOYED
MEAT SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION.
(Per Press Association Copyright.)
WELLINGTON, January 24
No arrangements have yet been made by the Unemployment Board to purchase further supplies of mutton for distribution to the unemployed. When asked what action was to be taken, the Alinister of Employment, Air Hamilton, said that a decision as to whether stocks were to be replenished would be a matter for Cabinet, and the Board to decide. The stock which wa s being killed at the Freezing works at present was too dear for the Board to purchase, but the matter would be considered when a start was made to kill mutton in large quantities.
