WELLINGTON, January 24

• It was authoritatively ascertained today that the Government docs not intend to raise an internal loan, and does not intend to increase the personnel of the Legislative Council during the currency of th e present session. Neither does it intend increasing the unemployment tax this session.

WELLINGTON, January 2d. Questioned to-day, Mr Forbes said that the Government would not be defeated on the Bill i-denmifying the banks against the losses arising out of accumulated exchange credits in London.
