WANGANUI, January 24
Thomas Kelly, 28, a member of the unemployed earn]) near Ho-ropito, was sentenced to yx months’ imprisonment for using obscene language oil Valley Road, Raeti'hi, on January 19th. The language was used to a- fellow worker jn the camp who had refused to join the Unemployed Workers Union. Magistrate Salmon remarked that certain facts were disclosed in the evidence which merit the attention of the Public Works Department.
Kelly was one of a party who demonstrated with a red flag during the bf the 'Clovern«>r-Genorn 1 to Raetihi.
