MOSCOW, January 3
Three high officials -of the Communist party were sentenced to death, and eight imprisoned from eight to ten years for sabotaging grain collections in the Orekhovsky region by encouraging peasants and collective farmers to falsify tbaiir crop returns and exaggerate the percentage of the crop damage. This scandal will help to precipitate the purging of the Communist party. ■ ' . ■ ■
