SOVIET’S PURCHASE
OF OLD GERMAN VESSELS
BERLIN, December 30
The Soviet has brought thirteen old North-German-Lloyd ships, with a', total burden of 54,000 tons, on three years’ credit. The price is estimated at 1,500,000 marks (£75,000 at par). The Russians are pledged not to compete with German shipping lines anywhere.
