KILLED WITH AXES
TWO INDIAN POLICE OFFICERS
CALCUTTA, December 30.
Two police officers of Hyderabad were battered to death with axes when they attempted to arrest the leader of a violent gang -who was mixing with pilgrims at a shrine. When the police moved to secure their man his associates rushed them with swords and axes, and a sub-in-.spector and a constable were killed by blows on th e nec k and head from axes.
All the gang escaped, but the Nizam of Hyderabad has placed a reward of iIOOO rupees on the heads of each of the gang.
