LATE LOCALS
Twelve cases of infectious diseases were reported in the Canterbury and West Coast Health district during last week. Two deaths occurred in Canterbury from tuberculosis. The figures are as follows; —.West Coast —Tubei’ic.u|osis 1. Canterbury—Scarlet fever 5, diphtheria 2, tuberculous 1, septic abortion 2, hydatids 1.
The public are requested to assist the Post and Telegraph Department by posting correspondence and printed matter, aivd by sending telegraphed greetings as soon as* possible before Christmas. Early posting and telegraphing will be of advantage to the public as delivery before Christmas Day wifi be assured.
Equally nice to give or receive are the Xmas gifts now on display at Ad* disons. Tt is not too early to buy or reserve now. Inspection invited.—Advt.
