TASMAN CYCLONE
A SUBMARINE DISTURBANCE. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, December 16. Shipping has been warned that a moderate form of cyclone, off the New South Wales coast, is likely to causa strong south-east to south-west winds and rough seas. The disturbance is moving eastward. An abnormal tide was reported inside the entrance of the Hawkesbury river this morning. It was attributed by the observatory officials to a submarine disturbance. YACHT’S SEVERE BUFFETING.. ADELAIDE, December 16. The forty-foot motor yacht, “Beth,” has arrived here after a long and adventurous voyage from Auckland, which began oil September 17tli. The ei'eiv, ihellulifig two New Zealaiidefs, Cecil Bowman and Basil Stallnrd, make light of their experiences, but the “Beth’s” log reveals that the little craft received a terrific buffeting. The crew were battened down for 84 hours at a time.
