The “Times” Teheran correspondent says that the Foreign Minister Rarrughi Khan, during a debate on ti;e oil concellation outlined the Persian case in a form likely to be presented to the League. He said that Persia’s sole intention of cancelling wa s to protect her own rights and interests, for which there were no provision in the concession, because it was given by the corrupt Persian regime.
The Government immediately intimated its willingness to conclude a new concession, hut ;jthe intereference of the British Government prevented the beginning of negotiations with the company. Persia owned the oil. 'Hie company should benefit equitably, but so must the Persian iiatioii. She demanded only her fights, PERSIAN OIL INQUIRY. LONDON, December 15. Mr de Valera and Mr Connelly are not going to Geneva next week, consequently the Free State’s permanent delegate to the League, Mr Sean Lester, will preside at the Anglo-Persian dispute.
