Lambing percentages this season will be a record, according to .figures made available by the Minister of Agreulture, the Hon. C. E. Macmillan.' Th e Dominion average'is 88.82, the North Island proportion 89.16, and the estimated total of lambs 8.177,657, wh:]c the South Island proportion is 88.42, and the estimated total of lambs 6,978,494. The Dominion total Is 15,156,151, as compared with 14,974,991 lambs actually tailed last year. The highest district lambing percentage is that of Canterbury—Kaikoura 92.75—the next being Wellington— West Coast 90.23. /
