LONDON, December 7
Unilever Limited have purchased the whole of the 1932-33 season’s production of whale oil, at an estimated cost of £3,500,000. This news is welcome, as last year many whaling companies were unable to negotiate sales owing to over production .-in 1930-31. The price of the oil in the present season is about thirteen pounds per ton, .which .should yield the companies a small profit if their catches in the Antarctic are up to the estimate.
